To the parents and guardians of all my wonderful Arete art students:

You'll notice that your child's art portfolio was not placed into the bags of returned student supplies and schoolwork that were distributed on April 8th - 9th. First, I want to assure you that your child's artwork is safe and sorted into portfolio-folders in my art room. Your child's art is precious to me and I would never let anything happen to it. That said, in this unprecedented and uncertain time in our nation's history, I also did not feel absolutely 100% safe sending the artwork back to you. Ultimately, I decided that, for the well-being of my students, I am not going to return any artwork until after we are past this period of self-isolation and concern over the spread of the coronavirus. Rest assured, though, as I said, I am keeping all the artwork safe in my art room. I’m thinking it may be most convenient to return the folders to students/parents and guardians at the start of the next school year in August. Please don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions of concerns.
