To the parents and guardians of all my wonderful Arete art students: You'll notice that your child's art portfolio was not placed into the bags of returned student supplies and schoolwork that were distributed on April 8th - 9th. First, I want to assure you that your child's artwork is safe and sorted into portfolio-folders in my art room. Your child's art is precious to me and I would never let anything happen to it. That said, in this unprecedented and uncertain time in our nation's history, I also did not feel absolutely 100% safe sending the artwork back to you. Ultimately, I decided that, for the well-being of my students, I am not going to return any artwork until after we are past this period of self-isolation and concern over the spread of the coronavirus. Rest assured, though, as I said, I am keeping all the artwork safe in my art room. I’m thinking it may be most convenient to return the folders to students/parents and guardians at the start of the next

Hello ART Students!
Hello to all my wonderful art students! I hope you and your families are healthy and happy! I miss all of you very much. A day without your smiles is like a day without sunshine, and I miss drawing with you! I think this is a good time to post some of the fantastic, charming, creative, and colorful artwork that you've done over the last quarter of two... Here at Archway Arete, we love our wonderful country, and, to celebrate, we drew the Statue of Liberty with fireworks! WOW! Everybody's artwork is beautiful and unique and here are just a few fabulous example: Then, one day in Kindergarten, we discussed what it meant to be brave, and then we drew a bald eagle: Recently in 1st Grade, we drew drew hot air balloons floating above a landscape. The students designed their own hot air balloon and also chose the landscape over which the balloon traveled.
